i could watch her mind at work
like a crippled rube goldberg machine
built entirely out of bowls of goldfish
and hammers

I'm moving to Los Angeles.
Where has your poetry gone? It's not that we particularly *like* the stuff, it's just that, well, hell, we're paying a pretty penny for your tuition, and we'd be more comfortable if we thought you were doing more than just "walking" around the country. Have you given any thought to your future?
